Our visualization studio is only available to use as a study space at this time.

Patrons are welcome to use the space on a first-come, first-served basis. Equipment for the Visualization Studio (VR headsets, keyboard and mouse for 4K touchscreen monitor) is not available for checkout at this time. However, patrons are welcome to screencast their laptops to the monitor via ScreenBeam. Please email dataservices@jhu.edu for more information.

The Data Services Visualization Studio is located in MSEL A-level in the Data Services area and provides access to visualization technologies for teaching and research in a semi-private space.

Using the Space

The Visualization Studio space is available as a walk-in study area on a first-come, first-served basis during library hours.

Policies

  1. The Visualization Studio follows the general policies laid out by the Milton S. Eisenhower Library. At this time, the studio is open to all Hopkins students, faculty and staff on a first-come, first served basis. Face masks are required.
  2. When not reserved to use the visualization equipment, the room is available for walk-in open study. 
  3. No food or eating is permitted in the Visualization Studio. Only covered drinks are allowed. 
  4. Unplugging any of the computers and moving the clamped down power strips is not permitted.
