Hale is a postdoctoral researcher in the Center for Digital Humanities, at Johns Hopkins University, where she has completed her PhD in Intellectual History and Comparative Literature, with a focus on philosophy of literature, and, more broadly, on methods and history of the humanities as a discipline. Her recent research and teaching focus on the application of computational methods in the humanities, ranging from discovery of sources in large digital libraries to tracking semantic shifts in Latin.
